The Process

Image result for harvest, planting, crop, seed,a process,

I’ve been on many road trips over the past several years.  I’ve traveled from Minnesota to Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Texas to name a few.  On the trips that are the within about 8 hours by car, I normally choose to drive to save money.  I don’t really mind driving, but learned that the first hour or two into the drive, I become extremely sleepy to the point where I must pull over at a rest stop to take a brief nap.  This obviously was an issue as it was causing me to arrive later than planned.

There had to be something I could do, but what?  While the solution is simple for most, it took a few trips for me to learn – I needed caffeine to stay awake!  Even with a good night of rest, I could not stay awake.  Therefore, I began to buy a coffee (Mocha actually) within the first couple of hours of my trip.  This kept me awake, but I was still feeling sleepy the first two hours prior to buying the coffee. I then decided I didn’t want to feel sleepy at all, so on my last trip, I drank my coffee at the beginning of the trip opposed to waiting two hours.  I did not feel sleepy. I stopped only for gas and dinner.  It took a few trips and adjustments, but I finally determined what worked best for me.  I no longer need a nap during my road trips and I’m saving time!

For some reason, God is stressing the importance of The Process to me on my last two blogs.  I believe, the Holy Spirit speaks to each of us and teaches us in phases how to improve, how to slowly get better.

Allow the Holy Spirit to teach you.  Learn from your mistakes/failures, and do your best to continue improve using the wisdom given to you from the Spirit.  Most of us adults, have lived long enough to know ourselves.  We know what makes us angry, sad, irritated, fearful etc.  Allow God to guide you in all areas where you need help. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”.  There is truly nothing you cannot do that God has willed for you to do.  For the word says, we already have the victory and the enemy is defeated.  Time to walk in that truth.
